Coverage & orientation
First strip contributes full width. Later strips add width minus overlap. Strips run along project length by default; change the direction setting to test another layout.
Free project planners that turn your measurements into practical material quantities, package counts, estimated costs, and shopping lists.

Turn project measurements into purchase-ready quantities, whole package counts, expected leftovers, optional costs, and a clean Buy List.
01 AVAILABLE NOW
Compare roll sizes, both directions, and physically achievable cuts—not just square footage.
Enter the rectangular area you want to cover.
Edit examples or compare roll sizes together.
Up to six valid options are combined. Blank prices are never treated as free.
Adjust assumptions for your product and site.
Estimate fasteners for perimeter and seams.
Custom spacing uses the selected measurement unit. Perimeter + side seams + cross seams are totaled once, reducing intersection double counting. Follow manufacturer instructions.
CALCULATION TRANSPARENCY
First strip contributes full width. Later strips add width minus overlap. Strips run along project length by default; change the direction setting to test another layout.
Long strips split into roll-length segments. End-overlap is added at every cross seam.
Waste becomes real reserve length. Cuts and reserve must fit whole rolls; area alone never sets quantity.
Up to six roll sizes combine in a bounded search. Only completely priced project comparisons can receive a lowest-cost label.
02 AVAILABLE NOW
Plan selected borders, separate beds, curved runs, real packages, connectors, stakes, and cost.
Choose the shape and independent sections.
Turn off any side touching a house, fence, wall, patio, or driveway.
Compare editable package choices.
When off, each section receives its own pieces. Flexible rolls generally allow reuse; confirm for your product.
Set waste, connector, and stake assumptions.
Custom spacing uses the selected measurement unit. Shared rectangle corners are counted once. Stake spacing is a planning assumption; follow the edging manufacturer’s instructions.
CALCULATION TRANSPARENCY
Only selected rectangle sides or entered independent sections are counted.
Curve allowance applies only to curved sections; waste is added before packages are selected.
Cuts fit real piece lengths. Joints are counted inside each section, never between separate beds.
Each section gets endpoint stakes. Offcut reuse follows the setting and packages always round up.
03 AVAILABLE NOW
Turn user-supplied joint dimensions into sealant volume, cartridges, rod packages, cost, and a practical Buy List.
Add repeated joints and calculate each joint size separately.
The starting row is an editable example only—not a recommended joint design.
Compare compatible products independently.
Different sealant systems are evaluated independently. Blank prices are never treated as free.
Applied to calculated sealant volume before package rounding.
Optional; labels are user references, not size recommendations.
Rod quantities combine only when section labels match exactly. Select diameter/size using your specific system instructions.
CALCULATION TRANSPARENCY
Length per item is multiplied by repetitions; each section remains separate.
Length × width × depth is calculated in cubic inches, then converted to fl oz and mL.
Waste is added before container and full-case rounding. Excess is purchased minus required volume.
Enabled section lengths group only by matching user labels, then rod waste and package rounding apply.
04 AVAILABLE NOW
Turn the wall-system dimensions and requirements you already have into block, aggregate, pipe, fabric, adhesive, and package quantities.
Plan My Materials estimates material quantities from dimensions and specifications you provide. It does not design or certify retaining walls. Wall height limits, base design, drainage, reinforcement, geogrid, soil conditions, setbacks, permits, and structural requirements vary. Follow the selected wall-system manufacturer's instructions and applicable local requirements, and use a qualified professional where required.
Calculate each independent length and height separately.
Enter dimensions from one selected wall system.
Enable only materials in your supplied system specification.
CALCULATION TRANSPARENCY
Each section rounds blocks per course and partial visible courses up independently, then adds your buried courses.
Block and cap waste round after raw whole-unit quantities. Optional volumes use only entered geometry.
Pallet, package, bag, bulk-increment, roll, and cartridge purchases round to physically buyable quantities.
Lowest cost appears only for fully priced comparisons. Expected leftover is purchased quantity minus modeled use.
Optional material volumes are calculated independently from the dimensions entered. The planner does not evaluate geometric overlap or engineering suitability between base, drainage, soil, or wall components.
05 AVAILABLE NOW
Convert your project areas and chosen product specifications into practical paver, aggregate, sand, edging, spike, and fabric purchases.
Plan My Materials estimates purchase quantities from dimensions and product specifications you provide. It does not design the patio system or determine excavation, base depth, bedding depth, drainage, soil preparation, compaction, paver suitability, edge-restraint requirements, or code compliance. Follow the selected product/system manufacturer's instructions and applicable local requirements.
Add each patio, pad, or walkway section independently.
Use individual dimensions or manufacturer-stated package coverage.
Joint gaps are not added. Product dimensions or manufacturer coverage may already reflect the intended layout. Cuts and patterns are represented only by your waste allowance.
Enable only items required by your selected system.
CALCULATION TRANSPARENCY
Each rectangle, circle, triangle, or custom area is calculated independently and then totaled.
Single-size units use face area; pattern kits use entered package coverage. Waste is applied before purchase rounding.
Base and bedding use entered depths. Joint sand uses entered coverage. Restraint uses only selected runs.
Whole packages, pallets, bags, bulk increments, and physical cuts are respected. Partial pricing is never labeled total.
A 20 ft × 15 ft patio is 300 ft². With 10% paver waste, plan for 330 ft². A kit covering 100 ft² per pallet requires 4 pallets, providing 400 ft² and 70 ft² modeled excess.
06 AVAILABLE NOW
Calculate bed volume, subtract existing fill, split a user-defined mix, compare bag sizes or bulk ordering, and build a purchase list.
Plan My Materials estimates soil and amendment quantities from the dimensions, percentages, package sizes, and allowances you provide. Soil composition, settling, moisture, compaction, plant needs, and manufacturer guidance vary. Verify the suitability of the materials and mix for your specific project.
Add each bed independently. L-shaped beds use two non-overlapping rectangles.
Subtract material already occupying the beds, then add only the allowance you choose.
Use one material, or define a 2–5 component mix totaling exactly 100%.
Bag sizes may be mixed for this material. Bulk and bags are compared separately and are never silently combined.
CALCULATION TRANSPARENCY
Each rectangle, circle, L-shape, or direct custom volume is calculated independently and then summed.
Entered existing fill is subtracted first, with a safe zero floor. Your selected extra-fill allowance is then applied.
Valid custom percentages split the adjusted volume without rounding each component before package conversion.
Whole packages and bulk increments are respected. Lowest cost and lowest leftover are separate, and blank prices never count as free.
PLAN WITH CLEAR ASSUMPTIONS
Measurements, product sizes, installation assumptions, and prices stay under your control.
Results distinguish modeled use, whole packages to buy, and expected leftover.
These are planning estimates—not live prices or a substitute for manufacturer instructions.
